What is water baptism?

Baptism is an act of obedience to Christ, and a public confession of faith in Him. It’s an outward sign of an inward change, symbolizing your connection with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. When you're baptized, you’re publicly declaring your faith and your decision to live a new life in Christ. As it says in Romans 6:4, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”

Who can be baptized?

Anyone who has made a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ and has accepted Him as their Lord and Saviour can be baptized.

Do I need to be baptized to be saved?

No, baptism is not a requirement for salvation. It is a symbolic act that follows your decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.

How can I prepare for my baptism?

We have a Baptism Prep course that will prepare you for Baptism Sunday. It's a requirement to take the course to be baptized.

On Baptism Sunday, we will provide a t-shirt for you and we recommend wearing dark, modest clothing that you don't mind getting wet. Don't forget a towel and a change of clothes for afterwards!

Can children be baptized?

Yes, children can be baptized if they understand the meaning of baptism and have made a personal decision to follow Jesus. We recommend discussing this with one of our pastors to ensure your child is ready.

What if I have already been baptized as a baby?

If you were baptized as a baby, we encourage you to consider being baptized again as an adult to make a personal, public declaration of your faith. This can be a powerful affirmation of your commitment to Jesus.
