Shanelle was born in Markham, Ontario and raised in a Christian home in Oshawa. At a young age she accepted Jesus into her heart and began to serve the Lord. As a teenager, Shanelle felt a call to ministry within the arts and to help advance the kingdom of God with her gifts. She is a two-time graduate of the School of Media, Art and Design at Durham College where she studied Journalism and travelled on international documentary missions which led her to Television, Web and Radio work within the field. However, she soon realized that the Lord was calling her into a new season.

Shanelle began working at VIVA Church in November of 2022 and oversees all church photography, videography, scripting, social media, graphic design, and creative team training. When she is not running around with a camera at the church or working with her own media business clients; you can find her enjoying food, movies, and music with friends and family.
